I am in desperate need of dental work with very little money to work with. I have had a fear of dentists due to past experience in childhood. Now i am trying to get over the fear but i have alot that needs surgically removed. And dentures to replace.

Ok, recently I had serious tooth aches. Up until January. Since then, the pain is gone but now I find, with an inspection with my tongue, that in the rear of my mouth, one of my molars is 3/4 of the way gone, as if it's rotten or something I dunno, and my gumline is disappearing around it. It is highly sensative and food often is stuck in this little hole, and I have to fish it out with my finger and it's very painful. So, is this worth an expensive trip to the dentist and classified as an emergency?

our own dentist doesnt answer calls out of hours even when bound by contract.
NHS direct gives out numbers reluctantly that dont answer either.
Does this help only exist on paper?
Why doesnt any NHS lierature or websites mention urgent dental care?
